A few months ago, I came across a video titled So It’s Wolf of Wall Street, But For Getting Laid and it ended up being the best piece of sketch comedy I’ve seen in 2019. Stevie Emerson and his crew (Alex Varanos & Ben Bashor) not only make people laugh, but they research the nuances of each topic down to the bone.
Whether it’s Jordan Belfort in Wolf of Wall Street or Pennywise from IT, Stevie Emerson hones in on the mannerisms, tics, twitches, and vocal patterns of each character to make the audience feel the part. The attention to detail is what separates Stevie Emerson and his boys from the other comedy crews.
